The Braderie de Lille 2026 closed its doors on Sunday evening, leaving behind memorable moments and impressive figures. A look back at a weekend that confirmed the Braderie's status as Europe's largest flea market.
Attendance lived up to expectations
According to initial estimates from the town hall, nearly 2.2 million visitors strolled through the streets of Lille this weekend, a figure slightly up on previous editions. The fine weather on Saturday particularly contributed to this record turnout. More than 10,000 exhibitors occupied the 100 kilometres of pavements dedicated to selling, in an area extended this year to the Moulins neighbourhood.
Highlights of the 2026 edition
Among the highlights, the half-marathon brought together more than 8,000 runners in a festive atmosphere. The makers' village, a new feature of this edition, was a great success on Place de la République. The free concerts on the Grand'Place attracted thousands of spectators until the early hours. On the food front, restaurateurs estimate they served more than 500 tonnes of mussels, upholding the tradition of moules-frites.
