Toilets
Temporary facilities are installed by the city along the main Braderie routes throughout the weekend. They are generally marked on the official map: checking it before you leave saves a lot of searching at the wrong moment.
The permanent public toilets in the centre remain available but are in heavy demand. Another widely used solution is cafés and brasseries, provided you buy something. In the densest areas, expect queues at peak times and plan ahead rather than waiting for an emergency, especially with children.
Drinking and cooling down
Lille has several drinking water fountains in its parks and on certain squares. Bringing a water bottle remains the simplest and cheapest solution: bottles bought from stalls add up quickly over two days.

First aid posts are deployed across the Braderie area and marked on the map. Locate the one nearest your hunting ground as soon as you arrive: it costs nothing and is reassuring, particularly with family.
