Parking is one of the major challenges of the Braderie de Lille. With over 2 million visitors and a city centre that is almost entirely pedestrianised, finding a parking space can sometimes feel like an obstacle course. Park and ride: the smartest option
The Lille metropolitan area provides free park and ride facilities near metro and tramway stations. This is by far the most practical and economical solution. The main park and ride sites are located at 4 Cantons (metro line 1), CHR B-Calmette (metro line 1), Saint-Philibert (metro line 2) and Lomme Lambersart (tramway).

City centre underground car parks
If you absolutely must park in the city centre, several underground car parks remain open during the Braderie. The Grand'Place car park, the Opéra car park and the Euralille car park are the most central. Be aware, however: prices are increased during the Braderie weekend and spaces go very quickly. It is recommended to arrive before 7am on Saturday morning to have any hope of finding a space.
The Euralille car park, with its 2,500 spaces, is the largest and best located for quick access to the Braderie. Nevertheless, it fills up by mid-morning. Book your space online when possible to avoid unpleasant surprises.
Parking in neighbouring towns
A sensible alternative is to park in bordering towns (Lambersart, La Madeleine, Marcq-en-Barœul, Hellemmes) and then reach the centre on foot, by bus or by metro. Walking allows you to discover less crowded areas of the Braderie, which are sometimes rich in bargains.
Zones to avoid
Many streets are closed to traffic from Friday evening. The closure perimeter generally extends from Boulevard de la Liberté in the north to the Porte de Paris in the south, and from Lille-Flandres station to the Citadel. Do not attempt to drive close: you risk being stuck for several hours in traffic jams.

The cycling option
Cycling is an excellent way to get to the Braderie. Additional bike racks are installed on the edge of the pedestrian perimeter. The V'Lille bike-sharing service offers bikes with numerous stations around the city centre. Remember to bring a good lock: bicycle theft increases noticeably during the Braderie.
